Classes: Basic
Duration: 60 minutes
Pose Complexity: ★★☆☆☆
Pace: ★★☆☆☆
Physical Intensity: ★★☆☆☆
A slow-paced practise focusing on the longer holding of Yoga postures or Asanas, with the intention of toning, stretching and conditioning the physical body.
Class sequencing may also include breathing work, sun salutations and guided relaxation.
Expect a warming and mindful practice of movement and stillness, strengthening and stretching.
You can also expect more detailed alignment cues, adjustments, and guidance from the teacher because of the slower pace. This makes the class ideal as a starting point for beginners.
Suitable for:
All levels of experience seeking a slower-paced practice with more foundational poses.
Currently in recovery from illness and/or injuries
Coming back to the practice after a long period of inactivity
Beginners seeking more alignment cues, adjustments, guidance and attention

Modern science calls it Heart Rate Variability - HRV - a measure of how fluidly your nervous system shifts between activation and rest. Researchers now study what yogis have practised for centuries: slow, balanced breathing retrains the autonomic nervous system.
